Jemm-Tac Web Cleaning Sleeve

The heart of these web cleaning systems is the Jemm-Tac Web Cleaning Sleeve. A proprietary rubber covering, Jemm-Tac Web Cleaning Sleeves feature a soft tacky surface proven to be capable of picking off dirt and contaminants from moving webs without scratching or marring the substrates.

Jemm-Tac Web Cleaning Systems are available as self contained systems or as upgrades to existing lines. Both designs incorporate the use of Jemm-Tac Web Cleaning Sleeves which are mounted over an idling roller. The idler may be an existing roller already on the host machine, or it may be supplied as part of the self contained design. Since the self contained design is similar to the upgrade, the explanation below will describe the upgrade design, knowing that the self contained design is similar, but includes its own covered idler roll, and end plates.

How It Works

The Jemm-Tac Web Cleaning Sleeve is installed over an existing idler roll.

The Jemm-Tac Web Cleaning System, supporting a chemically matched pre-sheeted adhesive roll, to remove dirt from the Jemm-Tac Web Cleaning Sleeve, is then mounted to the machine frame over the idler roll to reduce the space needed.

The adhesive roller makes contact with the backside of the Jemm-Tac Web Cleaning Sleeve, picking off the dirt and contaminants from the web cleaning sleeve.

Once the sheet is filled with dirt, the operator simply removes the old sheet to expose a new surface. The  Jemm-Tac Web Cleaning System is designed with a simple, easy access latch design, which enables the operator to replace adhesive rolls quickly and easily.

The electric motor moves the adhesive roll into and out of position either automatically with the line, or manually by the operator. Thus, the system only requires a 115V power line.

Jemm-Tac Web Cleaning Systems are available in even sizes from 8” to 26”. They are available as upgradable systems to an existing line or as self contained units in either single sided or double sided configurations.
