Repelletizing Systems
Please Call Us For Ordering Information, 262-512-9559Recycling Systems can be divided into three types; trim systems are usually in-line, low output, air-cooled designs that are intended for reintroducing trim scrap back into the production flow. Conventional Systems are usually higher output systems then the trim units, and consist of a grinding mill, force feed, extruder, filter and die face cutter and a cooling system. The Gamma Meccanica Compac Systems consist of a shredder, extruder, filter and die face cutter unit and a cooling system.
RecoTrim® In-Line Trim System from Macchi USA
Macchi has developed a new, patented style of line trim and film scrap recovery system, which allows the user to convert blown film trim and small amounts of roll feed back into pellets, for reuse. Having a much higher bulk density then any fluff related reclaim, the pellets can be recycled back into the process via gravimetric blenders in order to improve end product consistency and quality. The RecoTrim® System, consists of a patented twin screw design that grasps the material and feeds the extruder at a low rate of speed. The material is melted and plasticized in the screw and forced through a proprietary die design, forming strands. The adjustable speed cutting system converts the strands into pellets, which are then passed through a vortex system for air cooling and further passed into a special spiral device for further air cooling. The production capacity of the RecoTrim® System varies depending on material, but can range from 10 to 90 lbs/hr.
Gamma Meccanica – Conventional Style Repelletizing Systems

Traditional systems are ideal for recycling plastic materials in the form of films or granules using a grinding mill. Traditional lines consist in a grinding mill, forced feeder, extruder, with a filter and cutter at the end. The grinding mill breaks down the material to recycle making it more suitable for the recycling process. Compac Repelltizing Systems

The Gamma Meccanica Compac Systems are designed for the ultimate flexibility. Consisting of a shredder, extruder, filter and die face cutter unit and a cooling system, the system can handle a wide range of materials. Using the heat generated from the shredding process, the material begins to melt and flow and fed, using an auger, into the extruder, where it is then pushed through the extruder die and cut into pellets by the hot face die cutter. The Gamma Meccanica Compac Systems are ideal for material with high residual moisture (up to 6-7%) and heavy print.
Dosing and color hoppers can be used to add properties and value to the material during processing. The Gamma Meccanica Compac Systems can accept loose material fed via conveyor and material fed via nip roll.
Gamma Meccanica offers a wide range of Compac Systems, with a wide range of output capabilities.
